  • Hey Jerry,

Could you try checking for a plugin conflict? Deactivate all other plugins and see if that helps. If it does help, then reactivate the plugins one at a time until you find the culprit(s), if any.

    Thanks!

    Gerroald,

Deactivating plugins didn’t work. I don’t understand why the plugin is even on my site as I have never downloaded it or tried to install. It is from the same company as iThemes, correct? How does a message recommending it be installed appear at all and why is it interfering with accessing screens within iThemes?

    Hey Jerry,

bbPress is not an iThemes product nor do we have an affiliation with them. There’s some type of conflict here. Which plugin are you confused about being installed on your site? Either way, for iThemes Security to be installed on your site someone had to install it.

You deactivated all other plugins and you still received the message? Could you try switching your theme to Twenty Fourteen and see if that helps?

It might also be worth scanning your site through Sucuri’s scanner.

    Thanks,

    Hey Jerry,

You might also want to contact bbPress’s support and see if they have any thoughts.
