• Dear Astra Pro Support Team,

I am writing to report a significant issue we’ve encountered that affects the visibility of certain webpage elements, particularly in browsers with default ad-blocking features. We’ve observed that any element, such as a div, labeled with the term “adv” (for example, in our case, “footer-adv” within the footer section), becomes inadvertently hidden by these ad filters. This results in the unintended consequence of entire sections of our website, like the footer, being obscured from view for some users.

This issue seems to stem from the ad-blocking functionality in various browsers that automatically filter out any element associated with advertising, mistaking these legitimate site components for advertisements due to the presence of the term “adv.”

We kindly request that the term “adv” be avoided in naming conventions for divs, classes, and similar elements within Astra Pro to prevent this issue. A change in this naming approach would greatly enhance the compatibility of Astra Pro with ad-blocking browsers and ensure consistent visibility of all webpage elements.

We appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and look forward to a resolution that will benefit all Astra Pro users.

    Best regards,

Marco Marcoaldi CTO, MANAGED SERVER SRL

  • Hi @dreamsnet,

I don’t think this is possible as the class’ name has already been there since very first of Astra. Changing the name of the class and ID will cause mayhem for existing users. You should find another solution for this.

Let us know if you need more assistance, otherwise please mark the topic as Resolved.

    Kind regards,
    Herman ??
