Hi, I’m using WPForo in my site, and I need a user who makes an account in WPForo to automatically be added to the email list. They come on the list already, but they are not subscribed. (I have a consent button.) I need them to be automatically subscribed when they make a forum account, and to a certain list. Is this possible? Thanks!

  • Hi there @calebellis,

    Thanks for reaching out!

We don’t have any integration with WPForo so it’s a little difficult to troubleshoot.

If you create a test account on your registration form and select the consent checkbox, do you receive a confirmation email to confirm your MailPoet subscription?

Is this consent button added via MailPoet? Can you please check if “Subscribe in registration form” is enabled in MailPoet > Settings > Basics tab?

    Cheers!

Hi @treibalen ! The consent button is not added with MailPoet, because the form is made in the plugin’s settings, not in the page. It’s not a subscription form; it’s to make a account in a forum. If there was a shortcode or something that would send the user who signs up (Not with WordPress, but just with email) a confirmation email, it would work. I know this is a lot to ask, but if you already have something like that, it would help a lot! Here’s what the bottom of the registration form looks like:

Thanks so much for getting back to me, I didn’t think anyone looked at this forum anymore!

    Hi there @calebellis,

The consent button is not added with MailPoet, because the form is made in the plugin’s settings, not in the page. It’s not a subscription form; it’s to make a account in a forum.

In this case, please check if “Subscribe in registration form” is enabled in MailPoet > Settings > Basics tab. If the consent checkbox still doesn’t appear on your forum registration form, it may be fixed with some custom code.

If you need help with custom code, you can reach out to someone from Codeable: https://codeable.io.

    Cheers!
