Request Error

  • Hi! Firstly, this is a great plugin. It scanned my site quickly without any issues. But I have trouble understanding the results (NOT a developer).

    Request Errors – what are they? I had 85 results with the details:
    URL malformat error code 3
    The URL was not properly formatted.

    and below it was a pink box “Relative”. What does it mean? How can I fix it?

    Hi Alexandra, thanks for your questions.

    Malformat refers to links whose format can not be validated by the module that checks the links response codes.

    The relative links are not strictly errors, it just shows that the link is relative to the current page instead of using absolute URL’s.

    This is not exclusive to this plugin, doing a quick search you can find examples of what it means, for example:

    So even though the format is wrong, would the page still work? I used the DiVi theme for several of those page components (videos). It looks fine to me when I load it.
