Sites use custom post types for a variety of things, and it would be nice if we had an option to hide the deletion of certain post types from the Audit Log.

For example, I use Jetpack which saves emails sent via its Contact Form module as a post type titled “feedback”.

This is handy, as the form itself passes emails through Akismet and runs its own spam queue.

I really don’t care who clears out the contact form’s spam queue and when, but when I do my spring cleaning and delete all 500-ish spam Feedbacks, I get an Audit log filled with 500-ish lines about it. sad panda ??

Notice: [user], [IP]; Post deleted #[ID]

Since post formats can be used (and deleted in bulk) for a variety of reasons, it would be really handy if we could choose to exclude certain ones from our Audit Log.

  • This was already implemented weeks ago, there is a panel in the Settings page of the plugin named Ignore Notifications where you can choose which Post Types must be ignored. The items that you ignore from the list will affect the email notifications and the logs that appear in the plugin’s dashboard.

Thanks for clarifying, much appreciated! I’m not sure how I missed that.
