    Hi,

Would you consider adding an option to capture email when a guest adds the first item to cart.

This email could then be carried forward to checkout, if guest chooses to.

    Thanks

Hey @koolpal, thanks for your suggestion.
We have previously thought about this solution and we decided that it could be a bad user experience since you want the Checkout process to be as smooth as possible without interrupting the user’s flow.

That’s the reason we decided to go with Exit Intent popup instead – it is a popup that is displayed in case if a user has added an item to the shopping cart and tries to close the browser window or in other words leave the shop.
This is where the Exit Intent is displayed and the user is presented with an email input field he can use to save his shopping cart for later.

    Warm regards

Thank you for your response & explanation.

The reason I suggested this is almost 85% of my traffic & customers is from a mobile device and I am not very clear how would exit intent popup work here.

I think this use would apply for most with increasing use of mobile devices.

Can you please help me understand this?

Thanks a lot for this fantastic plugin!

    Dear @koolpal,

We are aware of switch from desktop devices to mobile therefore we have specifically designed an Exit intent for mobile devices with touchscreens. Mobile Exit Intent will be displayed once a user tries to quickly scroll up the screen (usually a sign that he is no longer engaged in the content of the page) or if he tries use the phones “Back” button to return to a previous page.
