• Hi,

    I use this plugin to enhance the feed with the header image and then take that feed for a MailChimp RSS campaign.

    In MailChimp, I add the feed with *|RSSITEM:CONTENT_FULL|* which adds the image, excerpt and the Read More text from the plugin.

    The thing is, the post link is added as an url to the image and read more text. That’s great, but I’d like to be able add Google Analytics tracking codes here.

    For example on the MailChimp side, I have added a [Read More] button that links to *|RSSITEM:URL|* and MailChimp turns this into a link to the post and it adds Google Analytics tracking codes like this:

    https://www.paulschrijft.nl/aanvliegroute/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=aanvliegroute

    utm_source=rss
    utm_medium=rss
    utm_campaign=aanvliegroute (this is the post title)

    See this MailChimp email.
    If you hover over the image and read more link, you see that it links to
    https://www.paulschrijft.nl/aanvliegroute/
    If you hover over the orange [Read more] button, you see that it links to
    https://www.paulschrijft.nl/aanvliegroute/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=aanvliegroute

    So depending on where the recipient clicks, a part of the traffic to the website is tracked with and a part without the analytics tracking codes.

    Would be cool if there was a way to add the utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign tracking codes (the campaign could be hardcoded as the post title, or accept a variable that truns into the title).

    Thanks!
    JP
