• Hello!

It would be great if the popup that allows you to add an action to the allowlist could be loaded into the Elementor Editor as it is in the WordPress Admin.

Elementor is one of the most used page builders nowadays. And recently, we experienced an issue while trying to save a page and it was failing again and again. Our developer found (using the browser console) that it was Wordfence blocking the request, but that’s something that a regular user won’t figure out.

In the other side, we have seen the popup while saving settings in the WordPress Admin, and some of our non-developer admins was able to solve it thanks to this popup.

    Hi @aebs90,

Thank you for reaching out.  We’re always happy to look into the feasibility of changing or adding features based on customer feedback, so I’ve linked this topic to the team for further discussion internally. Unfortunately I can’t provide progress reports or potential release schedules here on the forums.

For now, I recommend using Learning Mode if you see this error reoccur.? From the Wordfence Dashboard click on Manage WAF. Then you will see Basic Firewall Options > Web Application Firewall Status. Change the option to Learning Mode. Now perform the actions that were causing issues. This will help Wordfence learn that these actions are normal and it will allow them in the future. After you have finished performing the actions, switch the WAF from Learning Mode back to Enabled and Protecting. Now test to see if these actions work correctly.

https://www.wordfence.com/help/firewall/learning-mode/ is an amazing resource for learning more about the WAF and learning mode.

Let me know how it goes!

    Thanks,
    Margaret

    Hi, thanks for your reply!

Learning mode should work for now, but hopefully the team could take this suggestion in count.

    Thanks again!
