  • I’ve used two different plugins/hacks to accomplish something similar. Maybe there’s an easier way, but how I do this:
Matt’s Asides – a hack that strips the typical post extras (title, date, meta) and leaves the meat of the post in the main content area. https://photomatt.net/2004/05/19/asides/ Also, Podz has a very nice setup and styling guide for Asides on his site. https://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/asides/
Kitten’s Show Category plugin, which can also hide a category’s posts from the main content. I use this to display short posts or links in sidebar, but keep them out of the main content area. https://mookitty.co.uk/devblog/category/show-categories/

There is a plugin for WP 1.2/hack for 1.0 in the Wiki called wp-recent-links that can be downloaded here. A working example can be seen here on the left hand side of the page. It allows you to link a page quickly and easily while surfing the net with just a click of a button. It is not too difficult to install. Hope that helps.
