REQ: anti spam plugin recomendation

  • hi everyone.
    my website is: https://awakenyoursensesspa.com/
    i’m using wp 2.8
    i’d like to setup a testimonial page. i’m concerned about spam. i searched the plugins directory here and found a ton of anti spam comment plugins. how do i know which one[s] to use??? anyone have some recommendations based on their experience?

  • WP-Spamfree is a great plugin. I use it on all of my WordPress blogs.

    I concur with ulgaming. I run both Askismet and wp-spamfree and my spam box is nearly always empty, or they accurately catch the spam.

    Akismet has caught 95,892 spam comments on my oldest blog (approx 5 years old). The only time I notice it is when there’s the odd (very rare) hiccup and I have a single spam comment to check.
