• Hi,

We’ve had a bunch of reports of our contact forms not working and upon testing we can reproduce the ‘spinning wheel of doom’ around 60-70% of the time. We’ve tested on various devices, networks and browsers and there doesn’t seem to be any consistency. Our website is quite outdated but this problem is a new development.

I did not setup the website as I’ve only been with the company a year or so, it’s managed and hosted by a third party company that is reluctant to go over this stuff as they’re pressing us to purchase a new website from them. I’ve read about disabling the plugins and theme but with it being an active eCommerce site I am hesitant to do so.

I would prefer not to change plugins so any help would be appreciated.

  • Hi @joedudley,

Updating your environment (WordPress itself, and all your plugins) is crucial in order to provide a more accurate support. You could create a staging site to update all the plugins and test the form then, to see if it’s still working (it should!)

That said, I have sent a test message from your site, and it worked in the first attempt. However, consider to save your form submissions using Flamingo, another plugin written by the same author from Contact Form 7. See https://contactform7.com/save-submitted-messages-with-flamingo/
