    Hello,
We are on version 4.7.0 when I click “Reports” I am seeing no data. Just a spinning wheel. Where is our data and why is it not showing up?!

    Thank You,
    Ruth

  • Hey @meruth101 ,

Could you please check if you have any errors in your browser’s console?

    Warmly,

What’s a “Browser Console” and where do I find it?

Going to dashboard > Downloads > Reports and hitting the F12 key of the keyboard should open developer tools. There should be a tab called “Console”, click it and send a screenshot of what it shows there so we can have a look.

If you have lots of logs ( in the number of millions ) it may take a while to load all of them, depending on the server.

    Razvan

@meruth101 , it would help if you can do what I mentioned, you could have a different problem.

    Hi Razvan,
I updated to 4.7.1 and was hoping the problem would correct itself but it did not, still getting the spinning wheel. I followed your directions for “Browser Console” and got a screenshot but don’t see how to attach an image to this message. How do I show you the screenshot image?
    Thank You,
    Ruth

    Hey @meruth101 ,

You can use a service like https://imgur.com/, or Google Drive, or https://www.dropbox.com/ to upload the image and give us a link to it here.

    Hi Razvan,
I am on a tight deadline for a project and will have to address this in a day or so. I do want to figure this out, just wanted to let you know (so you don’t makr this resolved yet), I haven’t forgotten to get you what you wanted. FYI – Still getting Spinning Wheel on Reports.

    Thank You,
    Ruth

    Hey @meruth101 ,

Sure, no problem. Also, could you please give some info about the PHP, like memory_limit and max_execution_time + number ( approx. ) of logs you have in your {prefix}download_log table?

    Warmly,
    Razvan

    Hi Razvan,
Where do I find the info you are asking for? (Sorry I am more or a for-front designer person and not a behind the scenes developer person).

    Thank You,
    Ruth

No probs, we are here to help ??

You can go to dashboard > tools > Site Health > Info > Server for the PHP info, and for the logs you need to search in your database for table download_log and see how many entries it has.

    Razvan

OK – as soon as I can get back to this (hopefully in a couple of days) I will get you the info you are requesting.

    Hi Razvan,
Don’t give up on me – I am hoping early next week to re-address this issue. All my time and focus has been on a time sensitive project, and I am almost done with it.

BTW – as of today I am still seeing the Spinning Wheels.

    Thank You,
    Ruth

    Hey Ruth,

No problem, take your time ?? one quick question: do you by any chance also have Woocommerce installed?

    Warmly,
    Razvan

Yes we do – we use it barely, but we do have it.

    Thank You,
    Ruth

Seems to be a problem between the plugins. Download Monitor can be used on servers with php memory limit 40M, but when Woocommerce is involved a memory of at least 128M is needed to work properly. Don’t know exactly why this is, but seems that the REST endpoint from Download Monitor ends in not sufficient memory. I suggest you up the memory to at least 128M ( think that Woocommerce needs ar least 128M? ), recommended would be 256M.

    Hope this helps!
    Warmly,
    Razvan
