Replying to comments on dashboard doesn’t auto refresh

  • Normally when I reply to comments on admin dashboard, after clicking on the “Reply” button, a loading gear icon will appear beside it and it will auto refresh then my reply will show up immediately (it’s there when I refresh the page). But right now it’s not doing that anymore. Any tips guys? Thanks in advance

    Have you tried:
    – Flushing any caching plugins you might be running, as well as server and/or browser caches. Not just your browser, but any op cache or content network cache as well such as Cloudflare. That will solve many weird JavaScript issues.
    – deactivating ALL (yes all) plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem (plugin functions can interfere). If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).
    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP.
    – switching to the unedited default Theme (Twenty Sixteen, etc.) for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

    FYI:
    – I notice you are using an older version of WP
    – The latest 4.6.1 is the security release for all previous versions.
    – so, I strongly encourage you to update
