Hi, this plugin is amazing, I need help setting up reply-to with user submitted email. here, i have #field(3) set but it still seems to take default reply email (admin) and not user submitted email which field is 3.

Also, is there any default value available like #fname #email instead of using specific field value?

    Thanks

    Hi @aryanrajseo

The default setting of the Reply To setting is blank.

The default setting of the From setting is #blog_admin_email which inserts the WordPress administration email address.

If you are making changes to these settings and they are not taking effect, it suggests you are not clicking the Publish button at the top of the layout editor.

The #field variable can be used in Send Email action settings such as From, To and Reply To.

You can learn more about setting up an email notification here:

You can find user related variables here:

    Many thanks

Hi, @westguard , thank you, rechecked and it was coming from the SMTP plugin.

    Thank you again.

That makes sense. Yes, some SMTP plugins allow you to override settings such as the From address for all outgoing email. I’m glad to hear you got it working!

    Hi Mark,
I think I can write here instead of opening a new topic … because my Website experience some strange behavior in this related topic.

I really love your plugin and I do install it on every customers website ??

But since last month I realized that eMails are not sent, nor to the target (= to), neither to the writer (= reply to). After spending a few hours of checking all, reinstalling, cleaning the DB tables of WSForms, importing the form again, I just created a new form and got it working, but without the field reply to. If I put the #field(10) to the reply field in send email action, the emails are not going out.

I use additionally WP Mail SMTP plugin. There is an option “Set return path”. And if I enable or disable this, it did not help. “Force … (from, to, etc)” options are disabled.
I also tested the form without the “reply to” option and then it works. Nothing appear in the logs. So I don’t know whether this is a bug or I am doing something wrong.

Do you have a hint or solution for that?

    I have/use …
    – PHP v8.0.30 on Apache server
    – WordPress v6.4.3
    – Theme: Blocksy v.2.0.22
    – WSForm LITE v1.9.181
    – WP Mail SMTP v3.11.1

    Thank you in advance!
