I’ve set the value for “Reply-to Email” on the advanced tab of the Email Notifications screen to the merge code for the email of the submitter. But when the email notice is received this is not present and hitting reply goes to the form sender. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Great plug-in otherwise! Client is very happy with it.

  • Hi @earmsby,

I did some tests on my end and both hitting the Reply in my inbox, and checking email headers in mail logging plugin show the proper email that I have set in my test form.

Do you perhaps use an SMTP plugin and can you check if the settings from there are not overriding the values set in Forminator?

    Cheers,
    Predrag

I can confirm this is occurring for me as well and I don’t think it has to do with an SMTP plugin. What I have noticed when setting the Reply-to option by using the “picker” UI to select the {email-1} field (I am using the “Contact Us form template) an extra space is inserted before the opening curly brace. Once you go in and manually delete that extra space, the Reply-To field gets set in the submissions sent by the form.

Thank you! I didn’t notice that space. Removing it did the trick!

    Hi @earmsby

I am happy to hear it is working now.

    Hey @jcurtis-lbc

    Thank you for the information.

I did get a similar case this week, we are going to run some tests and check if we can replicate the problem.

I am marking this as resolved, feel free to ping us any time you need.

    Best Regards
    Patrick Freitas
