Reply to Comment Does Not Work

  • When I click on Reply, the Reply box opens up but the message body field is write-protected and it won’t accept the cursor focus.

    I am using the Tortuga theme. The plugin has a checkbox to “Fix the reply to comment problem” but it doesn’t work for me.

    I see other themes have had this problem in the past. Any solution yet?

    No I am sorry – the Tortuga must handle comment reply differently

    Finnj,

    My Tortuga theme authors, ThemeZee, have stated that their theme does indeed use a slightly different HTML Markup for comments for styling purposes.

    If I knew what elements were involved in the reply-to-comment function, I could possibly modify their HTML in a child theme. Would you be able to tell me what HTML code would be the standard code to make this work? I am not an HTML expert. I really like your add-in and I am trying hard to get it to work with my Tortuga theme, which I also really like. Thanks.
