Don’t edit the Twenty Ten theme. Instead create a child theme for your customisations. Once your child theme is active, we should be able to help with the customisation.

I created a basic child theme, activated and tested it with the title changed to dark blue.

I named it twentyten-child

You can also turn off the “Leave a Reply” function on a page by page basis. In dashboard, select Pages. Identify the page you want to remove the form from and select Quick Edit, ensure the Allow Comments box is not ticked. Update the page.
