    Hi

Hope you can help and I may be missing something obvious. I have five separate webinar-based educational course forums running on a site. The pages are gated with iMember to integrate with Infusionsoft CRM.
Used bbpress. Installed bbpns (thank you!) and I can get notifications of new thread replies to be sent to specific roles but not to specific roles for their forum only.
So someone replies to a tutor thread in course A forum then notifications go to tutors (Moderators) for courses B, C D and E as well.
Is there any easy fix for this? I’m new to bbpress.

    many thanks

    Andrew

    Hi @andrewcoughlan,

Thanks for reaching out. What you need is a bridge between bbpnns and whatever you use to control who has access to which forum (iMember as well or something else?).

Can you get the forum members to be subscribed to their forums?

As for the moderators, you should be able to achieve full notifications via roles.

Please provide more details on how you’re controlling member access to forums and I may be able to help more.

    Cheers,
    Vinny

    Hi Vinny
We use imember to control access to content that people in our infusionsoft crm purchase.
I have gated the forums so that only people with the specific IFS tag have access to them.
The course content pages are also gated for the same tags. This is all working fine but we want to let course moderators know if someone has asked a question via the course forum.

used bbpns for this and all good but I can only send notifications to ALL Moderators not just the person Moderating a specific course. For now the notifications come into admin staff who filter the reply and notify the correct tutor.
I have switched forum registration off in bbpress because it may create confusion if participants have to register for something else. they have already registered for the course, created a site login and get the course link when they log in (this is an icon link only displayed to you if you have the Infusionsoft course tag). So they get access to the course videos and notes and quizzess and can link out to the forum if they want to ask the course tutor (who is also the forum Moderator) a question.

Does that help you see what I am wanting to do?

What do you think best way is?

    kind regards

    Andrew

    Hi @andrewcoughlan,

Thanks for the comprehensive explanation of how you’re doing what you’re doing. I think the best approach is to write a bridge add-on between bbpnns and iMember360. I’ve downloaded the free version of the plugin to study it and see if it’s doable.

I’ll let you know what I find.

    Cheers,
    Vinny

    Thanks, Vinny

btw, the Team at iMember are absolutely superb and I am sure they would respond to any questions you have. We have been using iM360 for a decade now.

    Kind regards

    Andrew
