reply/ leave comment box doesn’t show on/in posts

I’m using the Journalist them hosted by BlueHost.com
I’m very new to WordPress, I have tried to ‘fix’ this myself
and I’m not even sure this is a problem. The theme might be set up this way, but all the blogs I see online display a leave comments form at the bottom of each post and this theme doesn’t.
The site is https://www.strangerthenfiction.com link to the blog is on the left side of the page. WP version is 2.6.2

My problem is after I post a blog I expect to see a leave comments
form at the bottom of the post. I don’t see this. I see a ‘without comments’ link at the top of the post. After I click this link, I get the you must register to post comments message.

How do I get the post comments from to appear at the bottom of each post with the boxes tagged with the “*required” notification?
Maybe try a different theme? I like the journalist them and don’t
want to switch if I don’t have to.
