reply and commenting not avilable

  • with this theme , somehow I don’t see the reply comment in the post

    I have verified permissions and made commenting available for all

    When I change themes to a Default 1.7.2 by Michael Heilemann , I am able to see the reply form in the post.

    Am I missing something here?

    I haven’t got this issue before, try disable all plugins and check again ?

    And can you post your URL here ?

    I can’t post url here as of yet, site under development and restricted to public currently.

    can you send me your ip privately and I’ll punch it in the allowed acces and send u url? Is there a mechanism for private communication in this support thread?

    disabled Restricted Site Access plugin and I still don’t see reply or submit comment form

    I just found your WordPress version is 3.3.1, update to the latest version will solve this issue.

    Yes, saw the version being behind and had a suspicious a need to upgrade.

    Wonder why in dashboard it kept saying:
    wordpress version: Last checked on October 14, 2013 at 5:18 am.
    You have the latest version of WordPress.
    and check again button does not do much to version status.

    I’ll upgrade wordpress and see.

    upgraded to wordpress 3.6.1 on ubuntu very carefully with wordpress database and file backups first and then used https://www.liberiangeek.net/2012/09/upgrade-wordpress-cms-in-ubuntu-12-04-precise-pangolin”
    and now I see leave a reply at bottom of post page
    I’ll keep checking for other wordpress operation issues post upgrade and finish configuring zAlive theme.

    I am getting this same problem and I have WordPress 3.8. The comment/reply field seems to come and go on the posts. No particular reason for this. Anyone else have this problem? I will go through the dreaded process of switching out all my plugins and report if I find a solution.
