• Not sure if this is how Amazon SES just works or if it’s the contact form plugin so I thought I’d confirm with you.

When we use any contact form (e.g. Fast Secure Contact form), when we receive the sender’s message and click reply, it replies to the Amazon verified email address which happens to be in the “To section”.

    Here’s what we see:
    rom: Koomohost <[email protected]>
    reply-to: [email protected]
    to: [email protected]
date: Mon, May 26, 2014 at 8:38 AM
    subject: Koomohost Contact: Sender Reply
    mailed-by: amazonses.com

Is there a way to fix this so that it replies normally to the “Reply To” email address?

    Thanks,
    Anthony

Checked with Amazon SES and looks like everything is correct on their end and Fast Secure Contact form.

I noticed that in the WP SES Settings, the Return Path automatically populates with the verified email address, in this case [email protected] – is that normal?

    Hi,

Sorry for the delay, I was away for a while.

    Your email headers looks fine.
If, when replying to this mail, to: is used rather than reply-to:,
it’s a problem with the mail client you use.

I saw a similar thing with thunderbird: When mails were sent from an email account defined as an alias within thunderbird, thunderbird was replying to this email rather than to the ‘reply-to’ field.

As long as the email source and headers are ok, the problem is nor on the plugin side, nor on amazon ses side.

    Hope that helps.
