Replacing /wp-content/

Hi Folks, installed this today, but got a small problem
mycdn.com/uploads/12/john.jpg works
mycdn.com/wp-content/uploads/12/john.jpg gives a 404
solution is to remove /wp-content/ from with the help of the plugin.
any thoughts of how to do this?
