    Hi,

I’m using the free version of this plugin and I’m trying to replace [NEXForms id=”11″] with [contact-form-7 id=”4056″ title=”Inschrijfformulier”]. In practice I need to replace the contact form with a different kind. But it doesn’t work. Is this plugin capable of replacing the shortcode before it executes? thanks in advance.

    Tim.

The plugin can’t replace a shortcode because shortcodes are “expanded” into the code they represent before this plugin executes. This plugin has been purposefully designed to be the last thing that executes so that it can modify things in their final state after WordPress, theme files, and plugins have finished doing their thing.

Thanks, but that’s too bad. I will search further.

@timmiieehh, did you find anything that does this?

Replacing shortcodes throughout my site with other shortcodes is the MAIN thing I’m looking for.

The ability to work with shortcodes would be a GREAT feature for you to consider!

Especially if you could turn that on per item.

In other words, the plugin would work as it does now, except you could check a box that says “this is a shortcode” that would cause the plugin to change the shortcode before it is “expanded.”
