Replacing, removing and editing Theme Options, need help…

Heya,

I have added some custom theme options to a child theme I developed, but I can’t locate any documentation regarding how to remove the pre-existing theme options that were there. Currently it’s just displaying both of them on the Theme Options page with the original theme options beneath the new ones.

Can anyone refer me to official documentation that describes the proper way to accomplish this? I’ve done it once before but I can’t locate the site I did it on, so I know this is possible.
