• Hi Guys,

I’ve downloaded and installed a new wordpress theme, and everything is pretty much finished and ready to go. The only thing left that I do want to do is make my own simple home page (index.html), and have it link to the wordpress pages from there, instead of having the standard theme home page being the sites main page. The index.html page I have created is very simple. It’s just one image in the centre of the screen, which when clicked on will link to one of the pages I have created within wordpress.

The problem is when I add my index.html to the ftp, it overides the index.php, basically making it inactive. The index.php seems to include the coding that initiates the new theme I’ve installed, and therefore when I click on the links on my index.html page, it does absolutely nothing but stay on the index.html page. What I’m trying to figure out is how to have my index.html page working, and when they click on the link to go to the WordPress pages, it then somehow routes via the index.php page and loads up the template. Anyone have any ideas how to do this?

    Thanks a ton
