Replacing or purging originals

  • Hello,
    how I can purge all original images? how I can purge all original images with .jpg? I want to have only .webp images on server (hosting).
    If I delete these files manually, I cant see them in wordpress media library. Can you add option to replace or purge all originals and keep only webp?

    Is it a possible or can you add that option?

  • Really need this features. is it possible to change images from database so that webp version is default in database and we can delete .png and .jpg files.

    I am a little bit newbie. Can you help me with that solution? Where in database I can find these images and how I can bulk replace them etc?

    Is a possible to do it with some function in functions.php?

    @rybarova there was this requirement where I had to remove all formats and generate only webp.

    I dont know what I did a good solution or bad, I downloaded complete uploads folder. converted all images to webp. deleted .png and .jpg. reuploaded the folder to website.

    then in website I replaced .png and .jpg with .webp using Better Search Replace plugin. Website is working fine. images are fine. I guess all good. ??
