• Hi,

I have images on a wordpress site.

Those images have been edit and should now being reuploaded. But if I upload the images they appeare double under media.

They all have still the same file name, WordPress just ads an index to it, without asking me whether I want to rename them Replace or skip them.

How is it possible to replace them?

Install the plugin “enable media replace”. It will add a “replace” link when uploading files of the same name.

    Hi,

good Idea but It’s not one image. I have to replace about 200 images.
clicking this replace link so often is a bit much.

Use FTP(like Filezilla) to upload the images, overwriting the originals, and then if you need it, use the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin.

Also a good idea but wordpress saves media in folders per year and subfolders per month and these images are distributed into the folders since 2018.

Where do I find these folders, so that I can fellow or do I not need the folders?

I’m not quite sure if this is what you meant but under content/uploads wordpress creates the media folders.
