Replacing header text with a logo

Does this help at all,

This goes after the <header>

<div id=”logo”>
” title=”<?php bloginfo(‘name’); ?>”>
<img src=”<?php bloginfo(‘stylesheet_directory’); ?>/images/the image.jpg” alt=”<?php bloginfo(‘title’); ?>” /></div>

This in the css
/* Logo */
#logo {float: left;margin-top:0px;}
