    Hi,

Maybe a simple question: i used the monsterinsights plugin to have GA to function.
After installing the site kit and disabling the monsterinsights plugin, the regular GA page https://analytics.google.com/analytics/web/ etc. does not update anymore.

What do i need to do to disable the monsterinsights plugin and still have GA updated. ?

    Thanks,
    John

I could be wrong, but I do not think the Site Kit plugin adds Google Analytics tracking to your site. I think it only pulls in data from your Google account and displays it in your admin dashboard. So I believe you still need to ensure you are adding things like your Google Analytics tracking code to your site.

Figured it out. In the Analytics settings you can set the plugin to set a tracking code/ snippet on each page.

@john-mulder Good to know, thanks for the update John.

Aditional question: Do i need both, MonsterInsights Lite and Site kit? Or can i delete the MonsterInsights Lite Plugin for a more lighter Website?

    Thx 4 your help

    Hi,

After installing the site kit, i deactivated the monsterinsights plugin and everything works OK for me. (did not yet delete the plugin, though i could or maybe should)

    Best,
    John

You’re right. ?? I’ve deaktivated Monsterinsights lite and Site Kit still tracked all Clicks, Views & Co.. I’ll watch it for a will. When all is ok, i’ll delete monstersights for a lighter CMS. ??
