replacing add to cart with out of stock button on single product page

    Hello,

    I want to replace ‘ add to cart ‘ button with an ‘ out of stock ‘ button on single product page for out of stock items. Enabling stock management on product level adds the out of stock badge but does not remove the ‘ add to cart ‘ button. I have tried different codes but nothing seems to work. Please help

    I suspect that there is a template override in the theme that’s keeping this from working as expected. Here’s a screenshot of how an out-of-stock product looks in Storefront when backorders aren’t allowed.

    Try temporarily switching to the Storefront theme to see if this works as expected. If it does, you’ll want to get in touch with the original theme’s author for some help. They may need to update their template.
