Thanks for the response. I decided to remove the initial comment since I didn’t want to write anything unless I’m entirely sure. But when I installed the plugin and created an ad placement some ad impressions on my site were served by an ad server and not my adesnse account. I only run local adsense ads. When I removed the plugin these ads no longer appeared.

thank you for the explanation and that you decided to take the time to look into it again.

I can guarantee that Advanced Ads doesn’t inject any ad code that is not yours. I know from my own test of other plugins that – at least in the past – some did that, but since the code of the plugins here on www.remarpro.com is open source, everyone with a bit experience in coding could spot this.

I would be glad to sort this out. Maybe it was just a misunderstanding and you saw AdSense loading code from another premium network. Any chance we can try to reproduce this together on your site?

Thanks, I believe it was a misunderstanding. My apologies for that.

However, I am concerned about the way adsense code is handled in the plugin – rather than pasting the entire ad code it asks to input the ad slot id and dimensions. Is this not against adsense TOS that state the ad code must not be modified in any way?

the code that is generated by Advanced Ads is completely valid. You can check the output and compare it to what AdSense gives you.

I separated the information because it allows the plugin to dynamically create ad units with specific features and allowed changes more easily. E.g.,

* change from normal to responsive size
* change the dimensions by just changing the options (yes, it is allowed)
* build manually sized responsive ads (very useful and suggested by AdSense too)
