Replacement for “Simple Calendar – Google Calendar Plugin”

  • Since it appears that the plugin “Simple Calendar – Google Calendar Plugin” has been abandoned. It hasn’t been updated in over a year or tested with new versions of WP. It is still working, but who knows for how long.

    Can anyone suggest a replacement for Simple Calendar that will work with Google Calendar?

    I’ve tried that, and it’s not very helpful. It’s too general.

    Hey, if it’s not broke don’t fix it. If you like what you have and it ever sites encounter an issue you can always hire a dev to update it.

    I just don’t like finding something all of a sudden not working and then having to jump through all the hoops to fix it. And having to hire a developer to fix it isn’t what’s it’s about. Isn’t WP supposed to be easy to use? Which also means it should be easy to maintain.

    Well, I don’t like when it rains, but that’s a part of life.

    The great thing about open source software is, that it’s free. It doesn’t make any claims that it’s going to be easy or perfect along the way.

    Also, lest we not forget, certain plugin authors may move on to other things in life. Like a paying job. You just never know, but that’s the price we all pay for using free software. ??
