  • Has anyone found a solution to this problem? Or a similar plug-in, but move to a different plug-in is the latest solution.

    @onix777
I’m currently testing a move to Flickr. Other G+/Picasa plugins don’t work for me and/or are too old and not maintained.

I really like and want the image masonry/wall used by G+ and Flickr.

But so far I’ve only found Flickr Justified Gallery a plugin that can display the wall with public album, but I would like to use private album.

When your interested I can post updates in this forum.

Thank you for your post, but I need Picasa and private albums.
I hope there is a solution for a new authorization.

I also prefer leaving my 1000’s of photos at Picasa and use private albums, but I the author of this plug-in doesn’t even monitor this forum anymore. And a good looking, recently updated +G/Picasa plugin is hard to find.

Found a paid plugin at Themeforest: Nova Gallery but according to a request 9 months ago, it doesn’t support private albums. The author said: “Private Picasa galleries cannot be handled by this plugin. I may have a look at this feature in the future.”

I’ll give it a try and ask the author if private albums are expected.

    Thank you picc02766!

    Your solution works for me.

I have 100+ posts with the same amount of privat albums on Picasa that contains 50+ photos. I hope that author will fix this issue.

Can we make a fork of this pugin and address this bug?

stal1n, we can do that but do we have a developer that can work on this?
I spent the whole morning to change to oauth2, but I’m still unable to fetch the albums.
And the way the new authentication works is very impractical to use because every user should create his own Google Developer project.
I need help from someone with experience in this.

I will start a fork of this plugin. Shouldn’t be too hard. I won’t have time to look into the issue until monday, so please be patient. I will keep you updated.

Happy to contribute, even if I got stuck with dealing with oauth2 ??

Thanks ?? First I need to get the code in a better shape. Right now it is a big monolith.

Thanks to Han I did manage eventually to gain access by disabling my own log on, making everything public at G+ and accessing them as a blog user.

Very clunky work around but at least no 403 messages to frustrate the issue.

To be able to have an album displayed as sequential images on a page is exactly what I need and like everyone else I have not been able to find a suitable alternative offering the features I prefer.

    Thanks again to Han.

Glad it works for you G4USB1.

And a warm applause for thhake and dabesa for their contribution. Keep us updated guys.

    Hi guys,
    I got it working too.
The new authentication needs the setup of a Google developer project, but isn’t too complex.

    Thhake, how’s going?
Avatarone, what’s a ‘little donation’ for you? how much are you looking to get?

    thanks

I’ve been reading this thread for some days and giving thanks to all of you that are contributing in finding a solution for this issue!

I wait for this amazing users that are working on a solution and if I can help with some testing or so, I’m here (no big knowledge on coding, sorry)
