Replacement file is not the same filetype. This might cause unexpected issues

I want to replace a DMG file for my Woocommerce products. However, when I upload the new file with the exact same filename and extension I get this error: Replacement file is not the same filetype. This might cause unexpected issues

The file gets replaced as it should, but I do not understand why I get the error.
