Replace Images

    Hi! Is WP-Optimize comaptible with plugins like “Enable Media Replace” so that the two versions of an image (orginal file and compressed file) will be replaced properly? Or ist there a better way to replace the images?

    This should not be necessary, WPO will take a backup of the image and give you the option to delete the backup ( after 50 days by default but you can change this). The originals will then be removed leaving only the compressed images.

    I think that’s a misunderstanding. Unfortunately, it is not possible to replace images on wordpress. (I can only delete an image from the media library and then have to upload the new image to the media library.) for this reason I would like to install a plugin that allows me to replace images with one click. Is such a plugin compatible with wp-optimize and will all variants of the image be replaced correctly?

    Hi,

    As yet the plugin has not been tested with Enable Media Replace and I am not too familiar with it. My advice wold be to try it and then contact us if there are any issues
