• Hello & greetings

I’m a fan of your fantastic plugin.

I had a problem – for the first time – with the “replace domain url” feature (+ table prefix change)

When I want to replace the domain url, here is the message it states :
18 tables were processed. 1 cell needs to be updated.

whereas if i do a classic “search & replace” i get more than 200 items to replace. Same applies if I also need to change the table prefix.

NB : either localhost testing project or online production web site fails in the same way. I uninstalled the plugin and reinstalled but it does not improve the situation

NB2 : i’ve just tested with the 3.1.0 version, that i was keeping as a backup, and it works normally

I reply to myself : it is actually worse than I thought. Even the version 3.1.0 does not work properly, even if it says there are 200+ cells to be updated, it actually does not update all of them, but only some parts. Also, the “import sql” function does not work properly.
The importation is very quick, so I guess there are some errors happening and it updates only very few occurrences.
I’m presently stuck and look for alternative solution. If anyone know some, let me know !

    Thanks

another reply to myself : i’ve been using successfully this : https://interconnectit.com/products/search-and-replace-for-wordpress-databases/

don’t forget to update the ownership & rights eventually to folders & files after unzip.

After use, be careful not to leave this piece of code available on a production server…
