    Hello,
we are currently working on an extension for the Yoast-plugin as our own custom plugin. One of the features of our plugin requires that the seo-description-content gets replaces via JavaScript / jQuery. We have been able to replace the content of the textarea and the hidden input-field. The only issue is that the yoast-variable-buttons can not be used after we have replaced the description content. In this case the yoast-plugin throws an error, and the site has to be reloaded in order to resolve this error. Our developers have spent quite a lot of time researching this topic on google but they haven’t been able to find a solution to it which leads us to this topic. It seems like the yoast-plugin stores the original description-content in some other place (variable or object) which we haven’t been able to find. Can anybody help with this issue? Any help would be appreciated!
