    Hi,

Very sorry for the late respons. Thnx a lot for the code above. I got allmost everything fixed using the simple custom css pluginn. Only thing thats left before the site is finished is the display of the banner. It’s still displaying on all pages. Doesn’t work with any of the visibilaty widgets, the text in the banner widget is empty? Maybe i can add a little code with the custom css pluginn? For now it’s fine and the banner looks good.

Thnx again for the great support, i’m very happy with the result using this theme!

No worries about the late response.

The banner should work with the Display Widgets (which is what the demo site uses). How are you loading the banner in your page and what are the settings for displaying it set to in the widget?

I followed the tutorial and draged a text widget into the banner widget. But now i can’t see the code i put in the text widget anymore in the banner/text widget and hide it at certain pages doesn’t work now. Seems the problem is the text widget that i dragged into the banner widget is gone? But the banner is still displaying?

    To confirm a few things…

    1. you had some banner code in your text widget that you dragged into the Banner sidebar position, but the code is now gone?

    2. For the display widget settings, is it set to Show on Checked pages or Hide on Checked pages?

Do you have a link where this is?

Goodmorning (here it’s the early morning…)
1 Yes, the code is not showing in the text/banner widget.
2 It is set to Hide on Checked pages.

    Have a nice day!

Thanks for the follow up…and good morning! For me it’s going on 10pm. I’ll be here for another hour or so as I work on the next new theme ??

If the code is no longer in the widget, then you will need to re-add it. Although I’m not sure how or why it disappeared on you. Try adding it again and see what happens.

As for the hide or show on pages, make sure you are going to pages that are “not” checked to see if it shows up there. Or, try the other way around, select “Show” on the checked pages instead and then visit those pages.

Note: If you are running any other plugins that do the same thing of hiding or showing widgets, best to disable those because they can conflict with one another.

Goodmorning (or night to you i suppose…)
Thnx for the advice again! For now i’ll leave it like this. Banner looks good, but i wanted to know how it worked. I’ll be pleased to know when your new theme comes out! Good luck en have fun making it.

@dontknowmuch…..so if you add the code back in the text widget, it’s not staying?

This the one from the live demo site for this theme:

    <img src="https://demos.shapedpixels.com/senses-lite/wp-content/uploads/sites/8/2015/10/banner-autumn.jpg" alt="autumn leaves"/><div class="banner-caption">Explore Nature's Beauty<span style="color:#E3C575;">Photographic Blogging</span></div>

You can copy that, but just change my image and caption text to your own.

Yes, I got it working! Thnx a lot, the second time the text did stay in the text/banner widget. Solved again!
