    Hi,

Despite the fact the Anti-Spam Cleantalk is active on my website, the xmlrpc.php attacks keep on happening (visible in the Anti-Spam log with status ‘Contact Form data approved’). I even installed an additional plugin to disable xmlrpc, but also that did not help. I’m running the latest version of the Anti-Spam Cleantalk plugin. I have 4 other websites running with the same Cleantalk plugin and there I don’t see any xmlrpc attacks.

Any solution to stop the xmlrpc attacks ?

    Thanks for feedback
    Patrick

    Hello @patrick-verjans

The requests you are talking about are requests that weren’t checked and filtered by the Anti-Spam plugin. These requests are marked as “Excluded from spam filters”.
We are logging such requests to take into account possible manual spam. You can disable this option in the CleanTalk plugin settings:

WordPress Admin Page —> Settings —> Anti-Spam by CleanTalk —> Advanced settings —> disable the “Log excluded requests” option —> Save changes.

To disable XML-RPC and prevent this kind of attack you can use the CleanTalk Security plugin in addition to Anti-Spam.

    Installation guide: https://cleantalk.org/help/install-wordpress-security

    Thank you.
