How do I get rid of repetitive (3/page), big, unrelated Amazon.com ads that have splattered themselves all over every page and post in my site https://www.gardengates.info? The ads are messy and often spill over to cover my information content. I don’t know where they are coming from or how to intercept them. Nor do I remember asking for them — though I do remember having a variety of text ads from Google in those same positions for months that I couldn’t figure out how to get rid of. I gave up trying since at least the small text ads were non-intrusive. But then those unwanted text ads suddenly turned into these overwhelming, full-color Amazon ads. They’ve GOT to go! How can I remove them? (The Google text links I intentionally put in that go down the right side bar are fine, as are the Affiliate ads also on the sidebars.) I’ve been told these may not be Adsense ads at all, but something coming thru my WordPress theme. I see no sign of the Amazon code on my theme editor, though. I’m lost. Any and all help will be extremely appreciated! Thanks.

  • They are within a portion of code added by adsense by the look of it. Try deactivating that plugin and see if they disappear.

Would that be the ‘Adsense Now’ Plugin?

Wonderful. I did try deactivating that plugin. Is this a common problem and should I reactivate the ‘Adsense Now’ plugin again? Thank you so much.

They’ll just come back. Youll have to sort out WHY that plugin is spitting out those ads. You should be able to customize it.

At least I know where to look. I’ll work on it tomorrow. Thanks again. REALLY appreciated! G’nite.
