I use the plugin at the sidebar and at the bottom of the page.

I cleared the cache and now the related posts showing are the exact same ones at the sidebar as they are at the bottom.

Is there a way to fix this? other than using the “randomize” option?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

You can also use the offset function for the widget to potentially display the next set of related posts so these will show different set

Another related problem, why isn’t the ‘Height of the thumbnail:” doesn’t apply to the sidebar thumbnails, only the ones at the bottom.

More to that – the sidebar thumbnails are sized at the set maximum height, but are stretched to fill the width, so they are out of focus and pixelated…

    Example of a sidebar thumbnail image sizing: 123px × 150px (scaled to 200px × 244px)

So as you can see, the size is set to 150px since I set it like that for the bottom images, but at the sidebar, they extend to fill the width… so it turns out to be pixelated and out of focus.

The issue is the clash of the different sizes. I’m not sure there is an easy way to do this. One option is to manually add the image size to create images of the sidebar size.

Maybe you can apply the “Height of the thumbnail:” to the sidebar images as well?

I will need to explore how I can do that. I do have a few thoughts, but it is likely going to add a new size to be generated based on the widget selected automatically.

You would need some thumbnail resizing plugin like OTF Regenerate Thumbnails for the older thumbs
