repeating home page URL in FireFox 9.0.1

The problem is happening in FireFox and not Safari or IE for me. When I enter the URL for the home page https://wintersynergy.com it automatically repeats it for some reason like this: https://wintersynergy.com/wintersynergy.com/home.html/wintersynergy.com/home.html/wintersynergy.com/home.html/wintersynergy.com/home.html/wintersynergy.com/home.html/wintersynergy.com/home.html/wintersynergy.com/home.html/wintersynergy.com/home.html/wintersynergy.com/home.html/wintersynergy.com/home.html

I had been running the plugin “underConstruction” in which I used wintersynergy.com/home.html as the redirect page. I have deactivated that plugin and deleted it. I have also tried reseting the permalinks to /%postname%/ instead of custom to see if it would clear the problem with no avail. If tried changing the permalinks several times actually, before, during and after use of the “underConstruction” plugin, but it still is repeating this URL.

Any suggestions on how to clear this problem??
