• Reported this back in November but haven’t received any assistance.

Adding a repeater or group to a Form causes the form to “bug out” and be unable to accept any new fields. When new fields are added, they are inserted second in the list, regardless of where they are placed, and do not render on the front end at all. The only way to continue adding fields to the form is to delete the group or repeater, delete the “broken” fields that were added while the group or repeater was part of the form, save changes, then add a regular, non-repeating/non-grouping field.

Thank you for reporting this issue. Can you please tell me if this has happened since an update?

We’re going to try and replicate the error and get back to you.

I believe this started happening after version 3.1.22. At least, it seemed like everything was working with that version. I set up a test account that I believe has the permissions necessary to administer the ACF Forms if you would like to see for yourself.

Any chance you’ve had an opportunity to look into this? It’s been broken since November.

We haven’t been able to replicate this issue at all and we also havent heard any more reports about this, which leads me to believe that this is due to a conflict with another acf extension.

Are you using any other acf addons?
Are you seeing any errors in the console?

I have the following ACF-related plugins installed:

    • ACF Frontend
    • Advanced Custom Fields
    • Advanced Custom Fields PRO
    • Advanced Custom Fields: Extended
    • Advanced Custom Fields: Image Aspect Ratio Crop

I disabled Advanced Custom Fields: Image Aspect Ratio Crop and Advanced Custom Fields: Extended to see if either might be the culprit, but it doesn’t seem to correct the issue. I don’t see any errors logged to the browser console.

Would you like to use the account I set up to take a look?

Can I *please* get some assistance with this issue as I have spent HOURS on it? I would replace the addon with something else, but I already invested in the Pro version of ACF.

I would be happy to show you what’s happening. Please email me at [email protected]

    Hi @loni2shoes,

I have the exact same issue that you reported and can’t find a solution too. Maybe now do you have figured out how to solve that?

    Thanks!

Unfortunately, ACF Frontend was unable to solve this issue. After months of frustration, I finally switched to Pods and am using the backend Edit Profile page for my users (I used JavaScript to hide some options and rearrange others). Sorry I don’t have better news.

    @ Loni2Shoes
Ask who you are using the repeater with.
You want to make a new entry in the frontend.
There you call and enter new entry.

is the field in modal mode or completely visible.
At the moment the modal mode does not work. If off you can enter.

@iceman3333 It’s been broken for 8 months. I provided a test site, administrative access, and a detailed walkthrough of how to reproduce the issue. I have never attempted to edit via modal.
