  • That’s not an issue.

    Try uploading a new avatar, you’ll see an activity will be generated each time you upload a new avatar.

    if you don’t want this to happen you can simply add this in your bp-custom.php file.

    remove_action( 'xprofile_avatar_uploaded', 'bp_xprofile_new_avatar_activity' );

    But you must now, doing so: no activities will be generated if the user uploads a new avatar or choose a new suggestion.

    Thank your for quick reply, but I think it’s an issue..

    For your information, I removed all previous activities and selected and changed just one profile picture. and in my activity page, it displays :-
    “user has changed their profile picture” repeatedly.

    here is the screenshot:

    Screenshot

    I tried switching themes, deactivating all plugins and used different site too.

    Hi Imath and Lionel,

    I definitely agree with Lionel. The plugin shows multiple occurrences on the activity feed of a user changing their avatar, even if you’ve only changed it once.

    It literally shows up to eight different “activity” entries for just changing the avatar once. It seems to correlate with the amount of “suggested” avatars you have available. So, for example, if you have eight avatars for users to choose from, then it will generate eight different status updates for one instance of choosing a suggested avatar.

    Ok thanks for the additional informations @pixie2012 i’ll try to understand why i’m not getting the same issue on my dev.

    Ok, i will upgrade the plugin asap to solve this issue. Thanks for your feedbacks and sorry for my miscomprehension.

    1.2.1 should fix the issue. Thanks everyone for your help.
