I have a site where every few months we’ll received the following and need to disconnect the connection to Constant Contact and then reconnect it. Is there anything we can do to stop this from happening? What is the reason for it happening?

“We have detected potential connection errors for your site. A failed signup has been detected and will be retried automatically once a new connection has been established. Please visit your site and perform the steps to reconnect the plugin at your earliest convenience.”

    Hi @johnmg21981

We do our best to self regulate and keep connection abilities active and current within the plugin, but there are cases outside our control where that process may have been prevented from succeeding. Thus this messaging where you received a signup attempt, but the plugin can no longer communicate with the API without a human intervening to manually re-establish the connection.

We can’t say exactly why the self management at some point failed because it could be from any possible error on the site.

That said, once you re-establish a fresh connection, any caught signups should get automatically re-attempted and added to the intended lists a that point.
