Hi, is there a way for repeat customers to have an account so they don’t have to fill out name, address, phone, email and etc.. It is a pain if same customer have to do that every time.

Also, is there a way to change the word “collect” to “pickup” in the email confirmation? Right now it is saying “Please collect your order at the store”. Collect sound weird. People associate the word pickup with food.

    Thanks again for your help.

    Hi

I don’t mean to be rude, but have you actually tried to explore the plugin and it’s options ?

My guess is you would have – at least – noticed that there’s a whole localization section where you can change any text you need to change.

Also, have a look at the “order form settings” it’s all there…….

You are right. No offense taken. I was looking at localization late last night at least ten times and did not see it until you affirmed it. As for the other issue, I also looked at the section you mentioned. I checked the box “Use when Registering ?” and “Prefill[if known]”. What I am trying to achieve is that the customer would enter all the necessary info the first time. And when they come back again, all they have to do is enter their email address and password and WPPIZZA would search the database and automatically fill in name, address, phone along with the email they just enter. Unless I am blind again but is there a way to register the customers and create a database? Thank you again.

yes, that’s the idea. have you tried logging out and registering as a new user and then tried to order something as this new user

    >to register the customers and create a database
the whole thing essentially extends the normal wordpress registration. there’s no database that needs to be created….check ut your user profiles. it will show – additionally whatever it is you set in your order form settings

Please take a look at this website on the left side menu. Once you order the first time it will remember all the info. If you order again, you just login and it will display all the info I am talking about including the address automatically. WordPress cannot do this. I register as a new user on my site but it does not work. I check the prefill box in the order form settings. I place an order again but it still ask me to fill in the require info.

This website have another feature maybe you want to add is the ability to specify date and time for pickup. This way the store can be open 24hours for online ordering.

it works just fine – provided of course you set “Use when
Registering ?” for the appropriate fields

    ehem, allow me to demonstrate:

    goto: https://simple.wp-pizza.com/
and login (not a wordpress thing just to keep it away from bots and searchengines) with
    user: simple
    pass: demo
(to the moderators, i am happy to have the above public)

the next bits are straight forward WP and wppizza functionalities and what you were referring to (unless i completely misunderstand you)

    a) register (you’ll see name and tel number and what not)
    b) when you have your password, login (obviously) and try to order things. it will be all prefilled on your order page

as i have seen you trying out the demonstration above, and have not heard of any (other) issues or questions, i consider this resolved then (i have also changed the password to that demo now)
