Reopening: Conflict with WP Adverts Plugin

    Thought I should reopen as the other post is displayed as resolved.

    OK I cannot get this to work. Was in contact with the developer of the WP Advert plugin but no luck there.

    When I test the Advert plugin everything works – I add the BB Header Footer plugin, works fine (meaning I can get the footer to display but no header will display).

    “BB theme’s header has to be enabled in WP customizer so BB Header Footer plugin displays the custom replacement content.”

    Appearance > Customize > Header > Header Layout (change from none to any of the other options) I can get the header to display – but the ads stop working – I can’t view by category as it will just keep sending me to the same screen – so not display the category.

    Hi Nik,

    Thanks so much for your offer – I think I may have found the issue. I had two test development sites and I have now got it working on one.

    The difference: In the settings for the one that’s now working:

    Classifieds > Options > Core Options > Default Ads List Page there is no page selected, on the one that is not working I am unable to deselect the page – it forces me to chose a page where the Adverts code is placed.

    Will try another test site to confirm but I do have it working now so I am hoping that the issue is resolved.

    Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

    If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

    Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us asking you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the plugins team.
