I am running a community website with a “what’s on” calendar. Many of the events are simple reoccurring events which can be setup with no problems. One however is for a weekly event on a Sunday but on the third Sunday of each month it is replaced by another event.

    week 1 – Sung Eucharist
    week 2 – Sung Eucharist
week 3 – All Age Worship
week 4 – Sung Eucharist (and if a 5 week month)
    week 5 – Sung Eucharist

Now I can (and have) set this up as 4 reoccurring monthly events on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th weeks and then single one off events for the occasional 5th Sunday in the month, but that seems a long convoluted way of doing something that should be quite easy.

Does any one have any ideas?

    p.s. The website is https://www.draytonvillage.co.uk

maybe you can try the monthly recurring events wherein you can use first until last day of the month ?

That’s what I initially thought – but you can only set one option from the drop down list at a time – so when you use an event instance with the fourth Sunday of the month and another using the last Sunday of the Month you will get a repeated event every month when there are only four Sundays in that month. If every month had 5 Sundays then it would work ok. This is why I have set up the single on off events for the occasional months there are 5 Sundays.

You’d need to do as Angelo suggested, each event will be a different recurring event.
