I am new to Word Press and the PMP Plug in and have to figure out kind of a big issue. Our users are not getting the message to renew their subscription when it has expired, even when it displays an expired date on their profile.

For example, I have a member that expired May 20, 2017 and does not have any notice on her profile that she has expired – it still says she is an active member.

We have our subscriptions set to expire 1 year from its paid date.

I appreciate any and all suggestions as I am teaching myself the processes and how to navigate the WP site my organization has.

    Hi @jessicasimpkins,

Thank you for using Paid Memberships Pro.

The main cause for members not expiring is that the cron (automatic process) is not working as intended and it’s failing to expire members.

Please can you deactivate and reactivate PMPro (this should hopefully reset the cron jobs) and may solve your issue. Users will then expire on the next midnight cycle.

You may manually run the PMPro expire memberships script by entering the following URL into your browser – https://mysiteaddress.com/wp-content/plugins/paid-memberships-pro/scheduled/expirememberships.php

This should run the expire memberships code and remove users that should have expired.

    I hope this helps.

    Please keep me posted.

I see in the ToolKit that is is not selected, which says that means it should be running nightly.

Last night, I set my profile as expired and the system did send me an expiration notice, so the cycle seems to be running correctly, am I right?

Where can I find the area to edit the custom emails that go out and set the days the expiration notices go out?

If you setup a test account and it sends an email, it means that it is working as intended. You may need to keep an eye on this as it relies on wp_cron and this may fail from time to time if your site has really low traffic.

By default PMPro will send out a membership expiring email 7 days before the member is going to expire and once again once the member has expired.

You are able to customize emails by using the Email Templates Add-on – https://www.paidmembershipspro.com/add-ons/free-add-ons/email-templates-admin-editor/

You then are able to use either the Extra Expiration Emails add-on to send additional emails before users memberships expire and add or remove when expiration emails are sent – https://www.paidmembershipspro.com/add-ons/plus-add-ons/extra-expiration-warning-emails-add-on/

    I hope this helps.
