    This is my favorite TOC block by far, except it adds a number of render-blocking resources to my posts, lowering my Pagespeed Insights score by about 4 points.

    Is there a way to fix this?

    Glad you like the ToC block. It just adds a single script on the frontend nothing more than that. Can you please share the URL of your website so I can have a look?
